  • Loki

Loki is my 3 year old Sheltie, who competes in Masters AKC agility. When he was diagnosed with bilateral partial CCL tears, our Vet did PRP, but I knew I needed to do more for him, so he could come back to agility stronger than ever before. Kristen and Paws Rehab came highly recommended to me from friends in the agility community. I immediately contacted her to start Loki’s rehab journey. Kristen is the absolute best at helping you understand what your dog is experiencing physically and how to help them. Loki was never exactly fast when it came to agility, and little did I know, he was lacking a lot of strength in his back end, which was causing him to not use his body correctly. She creates a customized home exercise program for you, so you can be a part of the therapy at home too. Kristen always tries to make therapy fun for the dogs, and Loki has enjoyed it so much that he now looks for household objects that he can turn into therapy props! After almost 4 months of therapy, I took Loki back to agility. He is stronger than he ever was, running faster, and happier than ever on course and at home. He’s able to run and climb with ease on the agility course now and is much more eager to do it. He also used to lag behind after a 30 minute walk, and he now forges ahead at the end of an hour walk! Kristen and Paws Rehab gave me my happy go lucky, goofy boy back, and I am forever grateful!

  • Sherri

“Kristen is an extremely knowledgeable Physical Therapist. She was so kind and gentle, and our dog felt so comfortable with her. Creating that relationship on the first visit is what set our nine year old dog up for success. Ollie remains an active senior today thanks to Paws Rehab.”

  • Mindy

“We know that Piper will likely need treatment in some for for the rest of her life, especially as she ages, and we have confidence that Kristen will do everything she can to maintain her movement and strength. I simply cannot recommend Paws Rehab enough - canine physical therapy can make a world of difference for your pup, and Paws Rehab is a very valued resource.”

  • Gator

Gator, my Doberman (6-year-old rescue), has been diagnosed with Dancing Doberman Syndrome. Dr. Tinlin has been working with Gator to strengthen his rear legs, so that in the future we hope to eliminate any physical issues that he may have. I felt it was important to get Gator some help, so I found Dr.Tinlin, who has been absolutely great with Gator. He goes to physical therapy and Dr.Tinlin has also put Gator on a program for home, that seems to be helping. Dr. Tinlin says it is important to work on Gator's physical/neurological issues now, while he is still young, to try to avoid issues as he ages.

  • Yuki

We adopted Yuki from a rescue when she was 3 months old. She was born with Luxating Patellas, (weak and floating kneecaps) and we knew that surgery was a possibility with a 50 percent chance of success to correct the problem. As she grew, we paid attention to her gait, her walking, and her activity levels. We thought her patellas were not worsening and were happy with it. However, that was not the case.

We met Dr. Tinlin when Yuki turned 1 and wish we had met her sooner. Our happy husky puppy was in a lot of pain. We thought she was a well behaved puppy and that is why she wasn't jumping on us and all of our guests. At the initial assessment Dr. Tinlin could see how Yuki had been compensating with the rest of her body because her back legs were so weak, and she did not want to put any pressure on them. When compensating, our husky puppy resembled a raccoon. Her spine curled due to the amount of pressure put on her front legs and her front leg muscles were taught as guitar strings, poor thing.

Dr. Tinlin assured she could help and she has. She put together a series of exercises for Yuki to stop her compensating and build those muscles that will stop her patellas from worsening. This regimen includes a healthy dose of massages (which Yuki loves) and laser therapy during her appointments. Dr. Tinlin has a water treadmill we’re still trying to get used to but will have great benefits. Her workspace is professional, clean, and private. Yuki adores Dr Tinlin, and when I turn on to her street Yuki goes crazy because she knows where she is going and always has fun at her sessions. I feel Yuki benefits from not having any distractions, which is necessary with a high energy dog like Yuki.

With Yuki's appointments and the at-home exercises provided by Dr.Tinlin, the difference has been amazing. After only two months of weekly visits Yuki's spine has straightened and she has started to build those important back leg muscles. To see her move and jump like a dog should, her quality of life is so much better. Yuki will be sad as we are moving her appointments to just twice a month because she has improved so much. Dr. Tinlin is so good at knowing the right exercises and when to adjust, thankfully, we do not currently see the need for corrective surgery.

  • Coco

Our dog Coco was only 2 years old when she had to have a knee replacement surgery and was diagnosed with hip dysplasia. Prior to her surgery Coco was a lively dog full of energy and vitality who loved being around other dogs. Months after her surgery we noticed a decline in her energy, she no longer wanted to play with other dogs and she was unable to walk up the stairs in our home. Our vet recommended Paws Rehab and after the initial consultation we noticed an immediate change in Coco’s spirit. She was wagging her tail and playful again. Kristen is incredibly knowledgeable and knew exactly how to treat Coco. Today, Coco runs up and down the stairs without any problems and has more energy and vitality than our kids can keep up with! We cannot recommend Paws Rehab enough as it truly has improved our dog’s quality of life
