Dr. Kristen Tinlin

PT, DPT, CLWT, CCRT

My name is Kristen Tinlin and I have my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL. After moving to Indianapolis, I started practicing as a Physical Therapist at Methodist Hospital and have since transitioned to Eskenazi Hospital - working at the Richard M. Fairbanks Burn Center. For over 9 years I have been working with humans and varying diagnoses including burns, lymphedema, neurological and orthopedic disorders. I started my canine rehab therapy training in 2020 through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute.

I am a dog mom to 3 Miniature Schnauzers and a Mini Goldendoodle: Minnie, Sulley, Bodhi and Remy. I’m married, have a beautiful daughter and love all things Disney! My passion is working and playing with animals. As a dog mom, I have been through canine rehab with my Sulley and have seen the incredible journey and remarkable recovery it provides. My dogs are my family and their health and happiness is a top priority.

“It was all started by a dog…”

Paws Rehab is proud to educate and spread the word on how PAWsome canine rehabilitation is. If you are a veterinary practice interested in more information, please contact us about our lunch and learn opportunities!

My Mission: To restore, maintain and promote optimal function in canine family members; helping to improve our furry family members’ health, movement disorders and quality of life!

Who benefits from Canine Rehabilitation?

Paws Rehab sees a variety of cases from pre-op, post-op, to non-op. Muscle weakness can be caused by:

  • Spinal or Neurological Injury where the limb loses function.

  • General disuse of a limb if the animal is in pain or recovering from surgery, or crate rest following injury/surgery.

  • Gait compensation where the muscle is not used correctly.

  • Aging dogs with reduced activity and potentially osteoarthritic changes.
